Every 2026 admission date, from opening your account to enrollment.

Admission is not a single application day but a chain of deadlines, each step with its own. Miss a window and you wait for the next session or lose your state-funded place. Here are all the key dates of the 2026 campaign for bachelor’s admission on the basis of complete general secondary education.
In short, the reference points:
Below is what to do at each stage. All the deadlines are per the 2026 Admission Procedure (Ministry of Education and Science Order No. 373).
The competitive score is based on your NMT (national multi-subject test) results. In 2026 that means three compulsory subjects (Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine) and one elective: a foreign language, biology, physics, chemistry, geography or Ukrainian literature.
What is worth doing in advance:

The minimum competitive score for admission to a state-funded place is 130 for most specialties, 140 for pharmacy and 150 for law, medicine, dentistry, international relations and public administration. The details — the 2026 threshold scores.
Registration of applicants’ electronic accounts starts on 1 July. The account at vstup.edbo.gov.ua is where you will submit all your applications from. Without it you cannot apply online.
Set it up in advance rather than on the last day: you will need to confirm your details and add documents. Step by step — how to create an EDBO applicant’s electronic account.
Applications for the main session are open from 19 July to 18:00 on 1 August. This is the campaign’s main window.
How many applications you can submit:
You assign a priority to each state-funded application, where 1 is the highest. The priority cannot be changed once submitted, so think the order through in advance. How not to lose a state-funded place through the order of your applications — how to order your priorities for admission 2026.
Before applying, check what type your competitive offer is — that determines how the places are distributed: types of competitive offers and the wide competition. The convenient way to find and compare offers is the specialty catalogue and the institution comparison.
The list of applicants recommended for enrollment on state-funded places is published through EDBO by 6 August. That is where you find out whether you get into the specialty you want.
The ranking lists are updated throughout the campaign, so do not panic if your name is below the cut-off line at first — the picture will still change.
An important point about the cut-off score itself: it is not calculated within a single offer. All the offers for one specialty — often across different institutions — are combined into a wide competition, and the targeted placement algorithm distributes applicants across the whole competition at once, by competitive score and priority. The cut-off of a particular offer is the outcome of that shared distribution: the lowest score among those recommended for that specific offer. So judging your score “within a single offer” is a mistake — your chances depend on the whole wide competition.

Once you have a recommendation for a state-funded place, you have to meet the enrollment requirements by 18:00 on 11 August. Usually that means confirming your choice of study place in your account and submitting the original documents within the deadline set by the institution.
Miss the deadline and the recommendation is annulled, and the place goes to the next person on the list. Enrollment on state-funded places happens by 13 August.
Exactly what to do after a recommendation, step by step — after the recommendation: the enrollment requirements.
A state-funded place is not the only route. If your score was not enough:
Priority categories have their own conditions — quotas and admission by interview. If that is your case, check against the Ministry Applicant Guide and with the admissions committee.
When exactly do applications open?
19 July. The account opens earlier, on 1 July, so set it up ahead of time.
How many applications for state-funded places?
Up to 5 applications for state-funded places and up to 10 applications in total.
Can I change a priority after submitting?
No. The priority of a submitted application cannot be changed. The application can only be withdrawn — the algorithm then skips it and considers the next one.
What if I took the NMT in 2025?
NMT 2025 results also count towards the 2026 competition — the score is calculated by the same formula.
Do these dates apply to master’s programs?
No. These are the deadlines for bachelor’s admission on the basis of complete general secondary education. Master’s and PhD programs have their own deadlines.
